Design a comic book cover for a sports-themed anime centred around a major Caribbean sport. Eligible sports include (but are not limited to): Cricket | Volleyball | Football Kitesurfing | Track & Field Basketball | Netball | Swimming Sailing | and more!

Submission Guidelines
Paper Size: 8.5 x 11 inches (US Letter size)
Medium: Original hand-drawn or digital hand-drawn artwork only
Digital Submissions: Accepted in JPEG or PNG format
(minimum 300 DPI recommended)
Physical Submissions: Scan or photograph your work clearly
and submit digitally via email
NO AI ARTWORK ALLOWED!!!
This includes artwork created using AI image generators
(e.g. Midjourney, DALL·E, Stable Diffusion) or artwork that has
been significantly enhanced, traced, or composed using AI tools.
All work must be authentically hand-created. Entries suspected
of AI involvement will be disqualified
Originality
All submissions must be original and created specifically for the 2026 ANUCON Art Competition. Plagiarised, copied, traced, or previously published work will not be accepted. One submission per participant. Each person may submit only one comic book cover entry

Judging Focus
Imagination, effort, and enthusiasm. Simpler compositions celebrated Creativity, character design, storytelling through art, and growing technique Strong visual storytelling, originality, technique, artistic impact,and nime style execution.
Judging Criteria
Creativity & Originality-How unique and inventive is the concept? Does it bring something fresh to Caribbean sports anime? Theme Relevance-Does the cover clearly depict a Caribbean sport in an anime/manga style? Visual Storytelling Does the cover tell a story or convey action, emotion, and energy at a glance? Character Design-Are the characters original, dynamic, and fitting fora sports anime? Artistic Execution-Quality of drawing, colouring, composition, and overall presentation. Cover Layout & Impact-Does it look and feel like a real comic book or manga cover? Would you pick it up off the shelf?
